Learn to surf in the gentle rolling waves of Rincon, Puerto Rico with an expert guide. Located on the west side of the island, Rincon is a surf community nestled among swaying palm trees, white sand beaches, quaint shops and cafes, and of course the best waves to learn how to surf in.

What to Expect

Your expert surf instructor will be with your every step of the way. You will start with a basic land lesson where you will learn the paddling techniques, balance, ocean currents, and surf etiquette so that your first surf lessons is a success. Once in the ocean, feel the thrill and enjoy the ride! You will be up and riding during your very first lesson. These surf lessons are perfect for families, adults, and kids alike.

Surf Lessons Available

• The Beginner Group Lessons - contain up to six students per class. In this two hour lesson, students learn the basics of surfing with other beginners and is a great way to make new friends!
• Private Group Lessons - contain up to four students per class. In this two hour lesson, groups of friends, family and/or couples get to learn to surf with their own private instructor!
• Private 1-on-1 Beginner Lessons - provide three hours of direct training with an instructor. These lessons give you one-on-one training, and lets your instructor tailor the lesson to your needs!

Certified Instructors

All of our instructors are not only able surfers, but are also ISA (International Surfing Association) and USLA (U.S. Lifeguard Association) certified. We provide all the necessary equipment for your surfing lesson: surf board with fins and leash, rash guard, and wax. The price per class includes this equipment. We do not provide but do recommend bringing reef shoes, as you will be surfing over reefs.

Included

• An introduction to the equipment and the ocean. Students learn how to recognize the correct atmospheric conditions for learning how to surf.
• Then they're introduced to the equipment: surfboard, leash, fins, and wax.
• Surf awareness and surf safety. Here our instructors will teach you surf etiquette, emergency calls, and all the do's and don'ts of surfing.
• An explanation and demonstration of exercises on the shores that will later be applied in the water. Here the students learn how to paddle, push through waves, and stand up on their board.
• And of course, have fun and apply all this knowledge in the water!
