What to Expect

Pick up your rental at the tranquil Makena Landing Park, where clear, gentle ocean conditions await. Here you’ll meet our friendly guides for a quick safety briefing and introduction to kayaking. Next, you will select from our fleet of stable single or double ocean kayaks. Our guides will help launch you from the sandy shoreline. Now it's time to set off along the coast. As you paddle, enjoy the breathtaking views of Maui’s shoreline and the soothing warmth of the morning sun.

Your destination is just a short paddle around the corner at Makena Bay, often referred to as “Turtle Town,” renowned for its high concentration of Hawaiian Green Sea turtles. Along the way, keep an eye out for rays, dolphins, and the occasional Hawaiian monk seal. The bay’s protective reefs make it an ideal spot for easy kayaking in calm waters.

During the whale season, from October through April, you may also have the unique opportunity to spot Humpback whales during their annual migration. These gentle giants come to the Hawaiian waters to mate and give birth, adding a thrilling element to your kayaking experience.
