What to Expect

Begin your journey at Maalaea Boat Harbor, where you’ll board a comfortable vessel for the 8.8-mile crossing to Lanai. As you cruise, enjoy scenic views and learn about local marine life from the onboard naturalists. Upon reaching the secluded southern coast of Lanai, you’ll snorkel in crystal-clear waters beneath awe-inspiring towering sea cliffs, exploring the healthiest and most vibrant coral reefs in the Hawaiian island chain. The lack of fresh water streams entering the ocean, development, and population on Lanai has allowed these reefs to thrive, offering an unparalleled snorkeling experience.. Wild dolphins, including spinner, bottlenose, and spotted dolphins, are often seen playing nearby, with possible sightings of humpback whales from December to April.

After snorkeling, relax on the boat's large floating ocean mat, or take a thrilling ride down the water slide into the ocean. For the younger adventurers, the onboard Jr. Naturalist Program offers an educational and fun experience.
