What to Expect

The adventure begins at Honokohau Harbor, where you’ll step aboard the Kanoa II, a luxurious 65-foot catamaran designed for both comfort and fun. As the boat departs, enjoy a light continental breakfast while scanning the horizon for pods of playful spinner dolphins. The crew will share insights about the marine life and the unique volcanic formations that shape the Kona coast.

Upon arrival at Red Hill, the crew will provide snorkeling gear, including prescription masks if needed, along with a quick but thorough instruction session. The crystal-clear waters invite you to explore a world teeming with vibrant coral gardens, colorful reef fish, and the occasional sea turtle gliding through the sanctuary. Floatation devices and water toys are available for those who want to take a more relaxed approach, while thrill-seekers can enjoy the catamaran’s 20-foot water slide or test their courage with the 15-foot high dive platform.

After about two hours of snorkeling, return to the boat and rinse off in the freshwater showers before indulging in a delicious BBQ beef burger lunch. Lounge on the shaded deck, sip a cocktail from the premium cash bar, and soak in the sun-drenched scenery as the Kanoa II leisurely cruises back to the harbor.
