What to Expect

We offer one 2 seat and three 4 seat VW dune buggies and we deliver the fun to you! Whether it’s your house or condo in Waikoloa, hotel in Kona, KOA airport, Kona Pier for cruise ships, we deliver! Our buggies come with a soft top that you can remove with ease and give yourself a 360 degree view and it is AMAZING!

For your convenience, beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella and soft cooler are provided by request at no additional charge. We believe you will have the most fun you have ever had in a car rental!

Free Pick Up

Pick up your buggy in Kailua Kona for free, or we can deliver the buggy to you for a fee. Our buggy storage unit is located at 74-5596 Pawai Pl., Kailua-Kona, HI 96740. This is about a 10-minute walk from the Kailua Pier to get there.

Areas with Delivery Fee

We charge an additional fee (delivery and pick up included) for other locations in Kona, KOA airport, and locations North to Waikoloa area. Including, ALL areas of Four Seasons and Waikoloa. Such as:

• Kings Land
• Bay Club
• Paniolo Greens
• Fairmont Orchid
• Mauna Lani Resort
• Westin Hapuna Hotel
• Mauna Kea Beach Hotel
• All other hotels in Waikoloa / North Kohala area

When making your online reservation, please check your location where you would like your buggy delivered. Also, let us know if there is anything you would like for us to provide for you when delivering your buggy.

Our Dune Buggys

• Yellow "TANG": (2 seat buggy) Standard Transmission. Extra storage behind seats for beach gear or luggage.
• Blue "MAKO": (4 seat buggy) Standard Transmission. Bench seat in back.
• Red "TIKI": (4 seat buggy) Standard Transmission. Full size seats with open storage area behind rear seats.
• Green "HONU": (4 seat buggy AUTOMATIC) Automatic Transmission. same as Tiki, except it is an automatic.

Restrictions

• Be 21 years of age or older with a valid driver's license. License written in English language or international drivers license.
• Driver must have personal automobile insurance.
• Foreign drivers must purchase Rental Collision Insurance. Which includes Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), damages to buggy and Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI), 3rd party damages. Both insurances can be purchased from: RENTALCOVER.COM
• Be present at the time of the rental to complete contract.
• All drivers must be registered on the rental contract.
• Must be able to drive a stick shift/ manual transmission. Unless booking "Honu" automatic buggy.
• One registered driver will also need to Authorize Use of a credit card for purchase of optional insurance policy deductibles, if accident occurs and/or any other incidentals.
• No off-roading, our buggies are only allowed on paved roadways and parking lots. Our buggies are equipped with GPS tracking devices, so we will be notified as soon as the buggy enters onto a dirt or lava road. There is a $500.00 charge for attempting "off road" excursions.
