Humpback whales travel to the Hawaiian waters every winter for calving and breeding. We often see baby whales curiously scouting out our boat, fluke tails popping up, spouting from the blowhole and even the occasional full breaching mature whale.

Leaving out of Puako Boat Ramp, we enter the nursing grounds of mother humpback whales and their babies almost instantly. Go out a little further and you may witness a competition pod, a battle between males over the female.
