What to Expect

We launch from Puako Boat Ramp for a short 10 minute boat ride up to the Northern Manta Viewing site. After we anchor in a beautiful bay, we will briefly talk you about how to behave in the water, what to expect and fun facts about Manta Rays. We then get you geared up in wetsuits and snorkel gear to get in the water to witness Manta Rays feeding. These harmless and docile creatures need to eat 10 percent of their body weight, and with a guide in the water, you will witness this amazing phenomenon. in a beautiful and safe way.

Watching these amazing creatures somersault in front of you multiple times, close enough to where you could kiss them, is a once in a lifetime experience. Drinks and a snack will be waiting for you on the boat upon your return.

On the way back to Puako pier, you’ll enjoy the beautiful starlit sky.

The Boat: Malaialena

One can’t ask for a more stable and safe vessel than the Malaialena. With the rigid inflatable tubes and the single aluminum hull, this boat is very stable and safe when it comes to ocean boating.
